The problem

Opening an RCFE is hard to do alone

  • The license application has many moving parts, and one missed detail can cost you months.
  • Property suitability, renovation, and compliance rules are easy to get wrong before you ever apply.
  • Vendors, contractors, and inspection prep all need to line up at the right time.
  • Most first-time owners piece it together from forums, agencies, and trial and error.

There is a clearer path.

Guiding Hand gives you a structured route from concept to an open, compliant facility. The plan, the paperwork, the checklists, and the readiness work are mapped out in advance and built from real operating experience, so you spend your energy on decisions that matter instead of guesswork.

Why Guiding Hand

Operators, not just consultants

Most RCFE consultants have never held a license or run a facility. We have done both since 2021, and we still do. We come from a family that has managed healthcare for decades, so the guidance is built on practice, not theory.

End-to-end support

From property review to an open facility, the whole path is one engagement with one guide.

Productized and clear

Defined scope, defined price. You know what you are getting before you commit.

Standardized systems

Documentation and checklists refined across the facilities we run, not written from a template.

Support after launch

One year of documentation updates after you are licensed, so you stay inspection-ready.

Luis Santos, Managing Partner of Guiding Hand Senior Care
About Guiding Hand

We run RCFEs. Now we help you open yours.

Guiding Hand comes out of a family that has worked in healthcare and care management for decades. We operate three licensed RCFEs in the San Gabriel Valley, with a fourth on the way, and we have run our own facilities since 2021. The guidance we give clients is the playbook we use ourselves. Luis Santos leads the firm as Managing Partner, so when you call, you reach an operator, not a sales desk.

We have sat through the inspections, built the binders, and hired the teams. Our job is to help you skip the expensive mistakes.

Common questions

What RCFE buyers ask first

Do you guarantee I will get licensed?
No, and no honest consultant can. Licensing depends on your property, your application, and state review. We prepare you thoroughly and improve your readiness, but the decision rests with the California Department of Social Services.
How long does it take to open an RCFE?
Timelines vary by property, county, and the state review queue, so we do not promise a date. What we do is help you avoid the common delays that quietly add months.
Do I need to own the property first?
No. Many clients work with us during the property search so we can review suitability before they commit. Choosing the wrong building is one of the most expensive mistakes a new owner can make.
Where do you work?
RCFE licensing is a California state process, so we help owners across the state. We are based in the San Gabriel Valley and know Los Angeles County well.
What does it cost?
We price each tier with defined scope, and we walk you through it on a call. Tell us where you are in the process and we will recommend the right starting point and what it involves.
